VALENCIA WANTS CAICEDO AT UNITED

Antonio Valencia has revealed that he wants Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo at Manchester United. The ex-Manchester United winger talked about Caicedo in an exclusive interview with Studio Football. According to Antonio Valencia, Caicedo has the quality to play for a big team in England. The Ecuador football legend said compatriot Caicedo is a humble boy and was born to be great. Antonio Valencia also said he’s hoping that Caicedo can come to Manchester United.

Caicedo has impressed for Brighton since his move to the Premier League club from Independientedel Valle in February last year. He’s now a regular in the Brighton team. Caicedo has been a mainstay in the Seagulls midfield since the start of this season. The Ecuadorian international has been seriously linked with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool, but Valencia would want him to join their arch rivals, Manchester United. Antonio Valencia spent the best part of his football career at Manchester United. He spent several years at the Threatre of Dreams having been signed as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.Ronaldo left the club to sign for Real Madrid in a record transfer at the time and Valencia was signed from Wigan Athletic as his replacement.

Brighton have sold some of their key players in the past months including Marc Cucurellaand fans would be hoping that Caicedowill stay at the club amidst the interest from Liverpool.

Caicedo has proven to be a key player for the Seagulls in the Premier League this season with seven appearances. He has started all the Seagulls’ seven games in the Premier League this season netting once. Caicedo scored his first goal of the season as Brighton beat Leicester City 5-2 at home. His form has propelled the Seagulls into the top four on the Premier League log.
